June 24
WORLD PREMIERE – “River of
Life”
7 p.m. at Yukon Arts Centre - Whitehorse
Follow the Paddlers Abreast voyageur team
on their remarkable journey as these cancer
survivors team up to paddle the Yukon
River Quest. Presented by the National
Film Board. Directed by Werner Walcher.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Admission by donation
to support Paddlers Abreast.
Monday,
June 25

Wednesday,
June 27
8-11 a.m. – Positioning of boats
along Yukon River at Rotary Park
put-in.
IMPORTANT – if you are bringing
your boat to the waterfront by vehicle,
you are allowed 20 minutes to move your
boat and gear to your position, and then
must move the vehicle. Volunteers will
be coordinating vehicle access to avoid
congestion.
After boat and gear are in place and vehicle
is moved, then there will be a final inspection
of your boat and gear, Aquafina water
distribution, and mandatory photos of
teams with bib numbers showing.

noon – Introduction of teams
- All teams assembled under banner at
starting line on Main Street between 1st
and 2nd.

p.m. – Start of 2007 Yukon River
Quest! Teams run to end of Main,
then follow marked heritage trail south
along river bank to boats.

6:00 a.m. – Carmacks checkpoint
opens at Coal Mine Campground
Friday,

7:30 a.m. – Carmacks checkpoint
closes.

on Yukon River dike between gazebo and
historic CIBC bank building.

Racers at Forty Mile Gold, 3rd

of Life” at Odd Fellows Ballroom,
2nd and Princess

- Diamond Tooth Gerties open
for racers (tickets in packets), sponsored
by Klondike Visitors Association, 4th
and Queen.
Sunday,
July 1 – Canada Day
8:30 a.m. (or sooner) – Dawson City
checkpoint closes after arrival
of last team.

a.m. – 1 p.m. Awards banquet at
Diamond Tooth Gerties, 4th and
Queen. Catered by Percy De Wolfe Society
and Northland Beverages. Banquet tickets
added to racer packets. Extras may be
purchased from YRMPA.
